Anna Dello Russo Pairs With H&M On Accessories Line

It seems Donatella isn’t the only fashion heavy that’s having a change of heart after poo-pooing the fast-fashion mass production machine.

If you’ll remember back, Ms. Versace once remarked that she had no interest in collaborating with chain retailers. But the fashion diva soon changed her mind with a sold out capsule collection for H&M that had her legions of fans lining up out the doors. Anna Dello Russo must be having the same change of heart as the Vogue Japan editor-at-large, who once decried the lower-priced collection trend, announced this week that she, too, would be pairing up with H&M on an accessories line of opulent jewelry, bags and more.

We can mark this event as H&M’s foray into pairing up with big-wigs on the fashion publishing side of things, an event that Dello Russo commented on in an interview with WWD, “This is the sign of an important evolution in fashion, and I am both thrilled and humbled to be the one chosen to lead it. I wanted to create precious accessories that are impossible to find.”
