Vera Wang for Zales

It seems Vera Wang just can not stop herself from cozying up to the mass market Bridal world. A far cry from the jillion dollar celeb-couture gowns she’s so well known for designing (Chelsea Clinton and the up-coming nuptials of Kim Kardashian), I’ve tried to keep you in the know on her bridal, bridesmaid and shoe collection for David’s Bridal and her lifestyle and beauty collaboration with Kohls – and now this: Ms. Wang will be designing a line of engagement rings and wedding bands for Zales. Yep! Her quest to become synonymous with all things bridal is complete!

President of Vera Wang Group, Mario Grauso announced the partnership saying that it’s meant to go hand in hand with their David’s Bridal line – (ah… cross-marketing!) “Vera now wants to complete the story of the David’s bride,” Grauso told WWD. “Zales is an obvious place for us to go to do engagement rings and wedding bands … because of their reach across the United States, which is similar to David’s.”

Engagement ring prices will start at $1,999, with the inclusion of a blue sapphire – signifying “everlasting love,” while the wedding bands will start at $649. The collection will include over 50 designs and will be available for bling-hungry brides in October.
