Carlos Miele’s Fruit Re-Boot
Carlos Miele offers up a decidedly fruit-flavored 2012 Resort Collection that practically scream chic summer vacation, with a bevy of maxi and mini dresses, wide-legged and high wasted pants and even a cute short singlet for tooling about at a farmers market. His wide legged pants are flowy and colorful with two-toned turquoise and watermelon contrast, the high waist adds an addition 70′s homage – add a wide raffia belt and ruffly blouse and you’re prettily perfect for a tropical getaway.
His white sheath day dresses are equally adorned with bright warm-weather hues, both woven into a geometric design and a decidedly free-form textile detail. While the aforementioned singlet is a simple, comfy watermelon hue which is a perfect casual day choice, embellished with a raffia belt (as he did here) or not.
Even Miele’s evening-ish wear stays true to it’s Resort Wear title, using color or stark white to portray the casual elegance necessary for a vacation night out. Think a zip-up blouse-styled full-length pant suit – with wide, flowy legs and several colorful full-length dresses – both haltered and strapless.
Carlos Miele’s 2012 Resort Collection is all together a flirty, happy homage to summer’s chicest brights – even his whites are accompanied by colorful strappy sandals and a bevy of multi-toned clutches. Brights are back!
