Celebrity Makeup Artist Ross Burton Dies
One of the beauty industry’s greatest has passed away unexpectedly. Makeup artist Ross Burton painted the famous faces of Oprah, Kerry Washington, Eva Longoria and Lauryn Hill.
According to Elle.com, Burton began his beauty career at the Lancôme fragrance counter in the Macy’s Herald Square store and rose rapidly within the company, becoming vice president of artistry programs and artistic director. There, he trained the brand’s makeup artists, as well. His initial intro to Oprah came courtesy of Winfrey’s best friend, Gayle King.
Burton died at the age of 46 at St. Luke’s Hospital in New York due to complications with an illness.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Burton’s friends and family.
