COLLABORATION STATION: Target Reveals Its Next Big Thing(s)

If you were impressed by the caliber of any of the designers who have paired with Target on capsule collections in the past, you’d probably better sit down. Target has just announced its latest designer pairing and it’s a doozy.

The beloved one-stop-shop is planning on partnering with 24 (TWENTY-FREAKIN’-FOUR!) CFDA designers and super-luxe department store Neiman Marcus. The plan is to create an uber-collection with which to take over the world — okay, not really, but they do plan to take over the holidays with a mass capsule collection that will be sold in both stores.

Target & Neiman Marcus Collaboration Designers

If it seems too good to be true, think again. These are the designers that have already signed on to be involved:

Alice + Olivia
Altuzarra
Band of Outsiders
Brian Atwood
Carolina Herrera
Derek Lam
Diane von Furstenberg
Eddie Borgo
Jason Wu
Judith Leiber
Lela Rose
Marchesa
Marc Jacobs
Oscar de la Renta
Philip Crangi
Prabal Gurung
Proenza Schouler
Rag & Bone
Robert Rodriguez
Rodarte
Skaist-Taylor
Thom Browne
Tory Burch
Tracy Reese

WWD reports that each of the 24 designers will create between one and three pieces for this holiday fashion fête, with prices ranging between $7.99 to $499.99, and lest the later number gives you heart palps, WWD says most items will be under $60.

While the goods won’t appear on Neiman Marcus or Target shelves until Dec. 1st, Target has announced that it will reveal the collections (to include home décor, pet products, sporting goods, and more) in October — other than that, it’s all hush-hush.
