Collecting passes: makeup tips for girls with glasses
It seems men DO make passes at girls who wear glasses, especially now that a great pair of eyeglasses has been elevated from 20/20 functionality to chic of-the-moment accessory. That doesn’t mean that wearing glasses doesn’t come with its quandaries, namely, how does one adjust their makeup to a frame-wearing face?
The first tip is to play up that lash line. Your lashes are the part of the eye that people will see first, so be sure to curl your lashes prior to painting on your favorite mascara. Waterproof mascaras will help eradicate any smudgy, runny streaks as your glasses naturally trap some of your body heat behind them.
Another great tip to make your eyes pop behind your peepers is to consider your frames before you paint on a swooping cat-eye that could be hidden, or an intense color that’ll be magnified by the intensity of your lenses. Remember, less is more when it comes to makeup and wearing glasses.
And it’s not only your eye makeup that needs a redo when it comes to sporting your urban frames. Rethink your powder blush and opt instead for a cream formula which is more subtle and blends more easily. Once you’ve got your blush where you want it, a light dusting of translucent powder should keep it in place.
