Dolce & Gabbana Racists? Protesters Think So
What happens when one of the world’s greatest fashion houses pisses off Hong Kong natives from taking photos of the store? Angry protesters that have been going on over the past few days with images of citizens carrying ashing signs and showing their support via Facebook.
According to New York Magazine “security staff at Dolce & Gabbana’s Hong Kong boutique reportedly barred Hong Kong natives from taking photos of the store — while not enforcing similar rules on tourists or (wealthy) mainland Chinese residents.”
Dolce’s response? “They have not taken part in any action aiming at offending the Hong Kong public.”
Despite their politically correct statement issued to the press protesters are not the least bit pacified. They’re demanding a sincere apology from the brand and are relentless until they get one.
