ESPRIT D’OSCAR: A CLASSIC FRAGRANCE GETS AN UPDATE
The late Elizabeth Taylor was no stranger to marketing magic, especially when she chose to ask fans to name her new scent via Twitter last year (yes, the illustrious Ms. Taylor was a tweeter!) And seeing how Ms. Taylor’s new media approach to promoting her classic and coveted scents went so well, another classic is looking to the internet to unleash a new scent. Oscar de la Renta is set to launch his first new fragrance in a decade, Esprit D’Oscar using Facebook and it’s Oscar PR Girl Tumbler. Seems like a perfect approach to maintain the integrity of their decades long glamorous image while attracting a new younger clientele!
Esprit d’Oscar promises to be a more modern reinterpretation of the brands debut fragrance Oscar from 1977. Think citrus notes of Sicilian lemon, bergamot and citron, leading to the floral heart of Egyptian jasmine, orange blossom and tuberose. The base is oriental, creamy, smooth and very long-lasting.
