Essie’s Throws Its Nail Art Hat Into The Ring
Forgoing other brands bandwagon-jumping with trendy crackling, rubber or velvet topcoats, it’s fair to say that Essie has been a little late to the nail art party — until now.
Nail art’s turn as big business has inspired the beauty brand, known for its classic colors and formulas, to introduce a new polish that seems to best the rest. It’s a magnetic nail polish and it features scales. Reptilian scales. And it’s awesome.
Essie’s new six-shade “Repstyle” collection includes shades of red, gray and hunter green with an overall effect that looks like reptile skin. Each bottle retails for $11.25 a piece and application couldn’t sound easier — just slick some on and move the magnetic cap over the wet polish. Voila! Animal print paws!
So sure, Essie may have turned up to the trend waaay later than the rest of the bunch… it seems their time was well spent on the finish… and their finish if simply divine.
