Last month (Yes!  I was shocked to realize that it’s December too!) we told you about Tom Ford’s return from his 6-year (and rather industrious – aka. A Single Man) hiatus from women’s wear and the rather secretive way he went about launching it.

But like most secrets – the truth comes to light – and now photographs from the fashions unveiled at his top secret Madison Ave. celeb-riddled show have popped up in UK’s Harper’s Bazaar.  We figured that it’s only fair to give you, our lovely readers, a peek as well!

His rather refined goal was to create a collection that is both timeless, exciting and classic – a collection of ageless style (his ‘models’ ranged from women in their 60′s to women in their 20′s) celebrating ‘iconic’ women.

“All these women are intelligent;” Ford says of his choice of runway model, “they all have kids and jobs and lives, and they are all different ages. I went after people I thought were inspirational and women who are iconic.”

Like Ford himself, he designs for women who know themselves and are comfortable in their own skin with their own style – something we can certainly all aspire too.  And thanks to Mr. Ford for promoting something that often gets overlooked in this world of smoke and mirrors world of fashion: being yourself.
