‘For Colored Girls’ Hits Theatres this Friday!
With less than 72 hours before the latest Tyler Perry film, “For Colored Girls”, makes its debut on the big screen, critics and those fortunate to attend last week’s premier are raving about the all-star cast and melodramatic content that is sure to leave you tearing solemnly by the end.
The cast includes some of Hollywood’s favorite black actors: Felicia Rashad, Thandie Newton, Kimberly Elise, Loretta Divine, Janet Jackson and many other favorites.
The film was inspired by the 1975 play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf by Ntozake Shange. The story contains a series of choreographed poems that address the complexities of black female identity and struggles in addition to mental illness and abuse.
We are excited about seeing the movie in theatres this Friday. Get a sneak peak of the all-star cast in the film’s trailer.
