Formaldehyde-Free Keratin Treatment?
Straightening your hair doesn’t have to be dangerous anymore. With all of the hoopla surrounding the chemical formaldehyde in the popular $400 Brazilian Blow Out hair service, we weren’t sure when companies were going to step to the plate to design a new treatment that was less toxic.
Finally, we can get our hands on Lasio Inc., a brand known for for their Brazilian hair straightening treatments, had come up with the Keratin Tropic, a treatment that claims to be 100% formaldehyde-free, and is priced at a modest $250.
Unlike their formaldehyde-containing counterparts, these keratin treatments are more like intense, thermal-activated conditioning treatments, according to manufacturers. The keratin formula works with a blow dryer and 450 degree flat iron to temporarily alter the hair’s shape. The treatment makes straightening hair a simpler process and can save hair from daily heat.
Get the goods without compromising your health and ask your hair stylist for a formaldehyde-free keratin treatment the next time you’re in the chair!
