GQ Goes E-Commerce

Following in the steps of the deal recently made between Esquire and Clad, a men’s e-commerce site owned by J.C. Penney, it looks like GQ will be venturing into E-commerce as well. They struck a deal with Park & Bond, the new full-price men’s site from Gilt Groupe Inc. that will launch later this Summer. This is great news for all GQ readers because finally we are able to have a direct link to all of the great products that GQ is always pushing on the pages of their trend setting magazine!

The site will operate a GQ boutique on its main site, selling product chosen by GQ’s creative director Jim Moore and his fashion team. The initial deal will be for the six months from September to February. The selected items will not be highlighted or marked within the actual pages of GQ. Instead, the ad will direct readers to shop the boutique online. The exact dates for the launch have not been released yet. The items will not be highlighted or marked in the actual pages of GQ. Instead, the ad will direct readers to shop the online boutique, but it will give us an opportunity to have direct access to those highly coveted items that they are always promoting without have to go out of our way to research where they might be. On top of the GQ items, the main Park & Bond site will also sell about 80 designer and premium labels, including Paul Smith, Alexander McQeen, Isaia, Etro, Thomas Pink, Vince, Theory and Brooks Brothers.
