Hair Care: Pantene Celebrates Donate Your Hair Day!
If you're looking to clean up those springtime strands with a visit to your fave salon, Pantene would like you to consider doing a little something extra with those lopped off locks.
This Friday the 27th, donate rather than ditch those sheared strands by joining with Pantene to celebrate their first-ever National Donate Your Hair Day where, instead of tossing those tress in the wastebasket, you can instead donate them to the hair care co.'s Beautiful Length's program, which helps create real-hair pieces for women undergoing cancer treatment. Since it takes nearly six (yes… SIX) ponytails to make about one wig, the collaborateur wig-makers at HairUWear, are looking for ladies who have at least 8-inches to give, and prefer hair that is free of bleach, permanent color and chemical treatment (also under 50% gray, as gray hair is harder to work with); the wigs are then given to the American Cancer Society who distribute the wigs to ladies in need.
Check in with Pantene's Beautiful Lengths blog to find a participating salon near you and sign up for this important opportunity to marry fashion with philanthropy. Come on, you know you've been dying to rock a super cute cropped style–here's your prime opportunity to do it!
