Harper's Bazaar's Greatest Hits

Linda Evangelista Dancing with Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel Haute Couture Harper's Bazaar Shoot

Illustrious editor-in-chief Glenda Bailey is celebrating her tenth anniversary at Harper’s Bazaar with a weighty and wonderful coffee-table book displaying her favorite covers and spreads of her HB career.

A Cartoon Linda Evangelista in "The Simpson's Go To Paris"

The 320-page book features a number of Harper’s Bazaar’s whimsical and imaginative photographs and illustrations, featuring the likes of celebrity designers (de la Renta, Gaultier, Karan and Lagerfeld), supermodels (Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista), celebrities (Emma Watson, Chloë Sevigny), and even less-than-real-yet-well-loved characters (The Simpsons, Oscar the Grouch.)

NY Magazine interviewed Bailey about her editorial experiences with the well-respected magazine and asked what she might be doing if her path hadn’t led her to editorial, unveiling an unwavering passion for fashion:

Well, I went to school for fashion, and after school I had a job doing trend forecasting. Obviously that’s related to what I do now as an editor, but I’ve always really enjoyed helping designers hone their vision into something marketable. I love giving designers advice when I can. Of course, I don’t do it for money, because that would be a conflict of interest, but if I weren’t an editor I would love to do it more.
