H&M Harlem Grand Re-Opening
There are many H&M’s in NYC and most of them are pretty awesome. They typically offer just about every line that the retailer carries, from trendy dressed down, to casual, to the full suit selection. But there has been one that I have visited on numerous occasions that I am always dissapointed in; the Harlem location. The location just never had a wide assortment to choose from, the sizes were always limited, and not to mention the men’s section is always the most neglected.
Luckily someone higher up took notice! Last night Harlem had a grand re-opening! It looks like the harlem store is now on par with the rest of the NYC H&M’s! Uptown Magazine teamed up with H&M for an invite-only and special shopping event to celebrate the grand-reopening for the press. The festivities included drinks, dancing, and tons of shopping. Don’t worry though, the press isn’t the only group that gets special treats today, when the store opens (at 10AM), the H&M will offer the first 200 shoppers in line a free t-shirt and a gift card valued anywhere from $10 to $300. Also, one lucky winner will receive an All Access Fashion Pass that will allow the winner early entry to the store and a personal style consultation from an H&M stylist!
H&M is also giving back to the community by partnering with the Boys & Girls Club of Harlem. They will donate gift cards to club members will be making a financial grant to support the local club. The kids will also have early access (9am) on opening day! Kudos to H&M for making up for their lack of presence in the Harlem, they have fully redeemed themselves!
