Jason Wu bridal sketches for Net-a-Porter

Fasten your seat belts brides; it’s going to be a glamorous ride to the chapel this winter. Fashion e-tailer Net-a-Porter has just revealed that Jason Wu is designing an exclusive line of wedding gowns to be sold on the upscale site in January. Judging from his tantalizing sketches above, Wu has his bridal bases covered; his line-up includes everything from an oh-so-prim bejeweled sheath to a romantic multi-tiered tulle confection. No ballooning ballgowns here.

“I wanted to create an exclusive bridal collection for Net-a-Porter that is both youthful and injected with elements of American sportswear, which I favor for my collections,” Wu explained to WWD. “The capsule collection includes wonderful options for a bride, but also has a relaxed attitude with pieces that can be worn to other occasions.”

Some pieces are more affordable at $795 while others are priced as high as $4,000. But, hey, this isn’t David’s Bridal we’re talking about. This is Wu. Jason Wu. And this is a once in a lifetime event–unless you pull an Elizabeth Taylor in which case you may need to invest in a couple. Just saying…

In the meantime, head over to Net-a-Porter’s online wedding spread and feast your eyes on Lanvin, DVF, Matthew Williamson and more. There’s no harm in looking, right?
