James Franco Covers Biannual British GQ Style Issue

The biannual issue of British GQ Style (one of my favorite styke guides to look forward too), is hitting stands today. Seeing as though this publication is only released twice a year it is very exciting when it comes around. Hollywood mystery boy, Gucci poster boy, and apparently occasional writer, James Franco who will not only be on the cover of the issue, but the magazine will dedicate 5000 words to this rising star, who first time editor and ex i-D head Ben Reardom believes to be the next James Dean “a modern icon.”

The photos were shot by Ines van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Franco will take on a few rebellious looks where he will be wearing black nail polish, dangly skull-and-bone earring and a leather-clad Adam Ant.

The issue will also features a story on Gore Vidal, penned by the novelist and editor Jay Parini, and a one of a kind photo shoot with the hunky British boxer David Haye  wearing designs by avant-garde designer Gareth Pugh.

“I wanted the title to be opera and X factor, a balance of high and low — and I didn’t want to scare anybody,” says Reardon.

This issue will be one you won’t want to miss!
