Katy Perry Inks New Deal with GHD

Pop star Katy Perry has signed up to be the new face of professional hair styling brand GHD. The pop star—who already has her own fragrance and nail polish line—has been named the new face of GHD, the New Zealand–based brand known for its hair-straightening and styling tools.

The collaboration will see Perry star in a campaign shot by famed fashion photographer David LaChapelle (who is currently suing Perry’s BFF Rihanna for allegedly swiping his ideas for her “S&M” video). In return, ghd will be an international sponsor for her upcoming tour and feature “hairstylist ambassadors” at her concerts.

“I’m so excited to be working with ghd, especially using their tools on my California Dreams tour to get me stage-ready,” Perry said in a release. “Ghd products have a reputation of being the best products in the biz, and I like being associated with that. I’m very excited to reveal the styles I did with legendary David LaChapelle in the upcoming ghd campaign. Keep your eyes peeled for it!”
