Kiehl’s Partners With the A-List

It seems the “neighborhood apothocary” has finally succumbed to the modern world’s demand for celebrity ambassadors. But fans of the brand’s minimalist, au naturale beauty need not grieve, Kiehl’s is still keeping it classy… and philanthropic!

In conjunction with environmental non-profit, Recycle Across America, Kiehl’s has partnered with the A-list likes of Mark Ruffalo, Florence Welch and Rosario Dawson (and more!) to create limited-edition jars of Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque to promote earth awareness in K-12 schools.

The product itself features Kiehl’s secret ingredient Amazonian White Clay, a mineral rich sediment that removes dirt, oil and the dead cells that can enlarge pores and, come April, will be swathed in label’s created by the celebrities themselves. For example: Ruffalo‘s “Bedroom Eyes” offers up a teardorp-shaped earth to represent his own green initiative, Water Defense. (Now that’s some self-promotion we can all get behind. No?)

It’s a double detox… one for you and your pores… and one for Mother Earth. Beautiful!
