London Wins the Fashion Race
It seems the fair Princess may have already done a great service to the crown. According to Global Language Monitor, a Texas-based analytics group that tracks word usage trends on the Internet, London has beaten long-standing champion New York for the title of the world’s number one fashion capital.
Given some of the hats at this years Royal wedding, I have to question the results, but it seems London has seen much more SEO spotlight, probably in due in part to Kate Middleton and her wedding dress designer of choice Alexander McQueen.
According to Reuters, London is up from third place, with New York at No. 2, Paris at No. 3, Milan at No. 4 and rounding out the top 5 is my own fair Los Angeles. Also telling of the global fashion spectrum is Berlin and Singapore breaking into the top 10 of this illustrious list since the survey began eight years ago.
So… in the world of UK-er’s everywhere: Cheers!
