Mcqueen’s Savage Beauty Exhibit is Extended at the Met

If you have not made it over to The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC to see the Alexander Mcqueen Exhibit “Savage Beauty,” you must! As we stated before it is absoulutely one of the most incredible fashion exhibits we have ever seen. As a matter of fact it is one of the most amazing exhibitions of any form of art that I have seen.

The May 4 opening day at the Met was the biggest opening ever for the Costume Institute, plus the only time the Met had a bigger opening was in 2005 with the “Vincent van Gogh: The Drawings” collection.  The Mcqueen exhibit has seen over 150,000 visitors to date.

It has been so successful that the Met will be extending the show by one week to give everyone extra time to see it! “Savage Beauty” will now be closing on Aug. 7, and to give even more time, the “Met Mondays with McQueen” program will begin on Monday June 6. For $50 per visitor, each guest will have access to the galleries between 9:30 am to 2:30 pm while the rest of the museum is closed.

So get over to see it if you have not yet, I promise it is a once in a lifetime exhibit!
