Missoni for Target Blow Up Reveal
On August 10th we revealed the “independent” blogger Marina, who “befriended” Margherita Maccapani Missoni herself, only to be given “exclusive publishing permission” to “reveal” the entire Target for Missoni collection on her “blog” “All the Way Up Here.” Why all the abuse of “finger quotes”?
Surprise! It seems the marriage between All the Way Up Here’s Marina and Missoni for Target is… a marketing campaign. wha-wha.
Sorry to deflate (*sorry) you indie-fashion-blog lovers who, like myself, liked the idea of a big brand reveal coming from the mouths of babes… but this babe is a blow-up. As in a 25-foot blow-up doll. And last night she landed in New York (as promised) in time for fashion week, wearing a gigantic Missoni for Target dress (no sample sizes for her) and tights.
“She’ll” be all over fashion week – mostly outside due to her giant status – tweeting her whereabouts all week from @MarinaWithStyle—and she just might “snap” you with her giant smartphone as she hops from venue to venue. The gal even travels with free high-speed wifi embedded in her, so if you need to connect and she’s in the area – just hop aboard her connection. This spectacularly tech-savy blow-up will also text you back if you text her from your mobile at +1-917-409-7437.
Tech-savy, Missoni-clad and Fashion Forward – but will she be able to hail a cab? We think not.
