MORE PRE-FALL EYE CANDY! Stella McCartney and Proenza Schuoler
I literally squealed this morning upon receiving news of not one… but two… Pre-Fall Collection previews – and we thought they had come to an end last month! Let the eye candy begin!
Beatle’s progeny and uber-successful designer in her own right, Stella McCartney unveils yet another classic collection for Pre-Fall 2011. The cuts were generally boxy and forgiving with a few sexy embellishments, like the one shouldered geometric print beauty above.
The collection featured a bevy of oversize coats and sweaters, again cut in quite boxy ways – including a cape-ish sweater (above) and a navy cape-ish jacket. Constructed in heavy wools and cashmere, the main tone was neutral, from camel to cream with accents of down right springy green, blue and red geometric designs.
And on the opposite end of classic-conservative, Proenza Schouler unleashed a collection heavy with multi-colored, zany prints in shades of electric blue, green and pumpkin orange. The cuts were generally boxy as well, with several examples of long culotte-ish shorts paired with oversize, heavy sweaters.
Of particular note were few single-bright-toned and more body conscious designs, including this body-skimming, hot pink little number – with geometric cuts and seams. And… did I mention the shoes? Tres sexy!
