Nordstrom Makes Its Way to NYC
For the past decade, Nordstrom has been searching high and low for a place to call home. In a soon-to-be-built 285,000 square foot space the retailer will open its flagship space in New York City’s Columbus Circle. Not ones to compromise on quality or service, we can understand why Nordstrom has been so picky in choosing the perfect location. We’re excited to see this Seattle brand make its way into the Manhattan market but we’ll have to wait and see how they fare against already established department stores currently in the city like Bloomingdales and Lord & Taylor.
Nordstrom graced Manhattanites last spring with discount store “Nordstrom Rack” in Union Square which has proven to be a treasure for fashionistas and hipsters alike. While the flagship store won’t see daylight until 2018, for those of us who are familiar with the store, their impeccable service (not to mention free online shipping) and brag worthy brands and events, we’ll still be waiting faithfully in anticipation.
