She’s painted the faces of some of the most envied celebrities including the ever so adored Simmons sisters Angela and Vanessa. Having worked on advertising campaigns for a variety of different industries, makeup artist Rebecca Casciano has taken her love for the art of beauty and wellness and created a career that has expanded into television, film, print and one on one consulting. Pairing the worlds of beauty and wellness, Casciano adds a unique holistic service that her clients continue to run back to her to experience. We caught up with this beauty guru for a chit chat about her love for the industry and how beauty professional hopefuls can thrive.
When did you first decide you wanted to become a makeup artist?
In the summer of 2000.

Mary J. Blige, Res, Gabrielle Bernstein and Martha Stewart.
What has been your most memorable moment working in the beauty industry?
It’s really hard to pick just one! I would have to say each time I work with an amazing team and/or client is a memorable moment for me.
What are your must haves for fall?

What is your advice for anyone looking to break into this industry?
If you love it, do it! One of my favorite quotes is, “Let the beauty you love be what you do,” by the poet Rumi. Be open, flexible, patient and enjoy the journey!
