More Pre-Fall icing with which to ice your Christmas sugar cookies!

Burberry & Adam Lippes keeps it sweet and sexy with their most recent collection previews – and, who knows, these collections may actually inspire your current Christmas and New Years wardrobe choices!

Burberry 2011 Pre-Fall Preview

Burberry’s Pre-Fall Preview continues it’s triumphant reign as purveyors of sex-ay with their 2011 offerings – and quite frankly, this line prompted me to start planning next years holiday party look today!  Think sumptuous winter coats constructed of thick warm wools (with oversized cuffs, collars and linings of luxurious furs and satins), embellished trenches (think fur, satin and sequined), purple, black and white fur coats and shrugs, and even a few flattened quilted snow-ish coat offerings in gorgeous whisky and purple-ish tones of navy.

Burberry designer Christopher Bailey’s Pre-Fall collection also had an abundance of tailored wool suit jackets, multi-knit sweaters and long-legged bootcut wool trousers (a most flattering cut for next season!).  And it seems a crime not to mention the bevy of floor-grazing dresses in rich browns, beautiful crepe creams and champagnes and navy and teal prints.

Burberry is not one to forget a well-dressed man – and they certainly did not neglect the more masculine of the species.  With button down cardigans and pull-over sweaters, traditional trenches and sports coats, and wool trousers – the Burberry man is all set to stylishly tackle the season.  The main event, however, is the multiple designed tuxedo collection (which… ahem… did not neglect the ladies as a very sexy women’s tuxedo is available).

ADAM's 2011 Pre-Fall Preview

And while Burberry went all city-sexy on us, Adam Lippes 2011 Pre-Fall Preview keeps everything in a prettily perfect feminine perspective with girlish dresses and fluttery fabrics.  Why even the harder-edged leather offerings featured demure necklines and A-line and box cuts.  Scantly delving into color, ADAM uses a beautiful red as embellishment (and our favorite of the line – a full-red fluttery cocktail dress) and a single metallic gold-toned dress

- but the rest of the collection is shades of black and gray (with a cream knit sweater thrown in for good measure).  A small but Fall-ish collection if ever we saw one.
