Marc Jacobs

Rumor Alert! News has just leaked that Marc Jacobs‘ Spring 2012 collection has been stolen – all of it – from a train leaving Paris. London’s Telegraph reported that while the collection was en route to the brand’s press day (that magical day when the collection was to be presented to editors) it simply disappeared.

This news was extracted from a Marc Jacobs PR team email:

Dear all, The Marc Jacobs PR team is sorry to inform you that our press day tomorrow [a refresher of the clothes that were first shown on the catwalk. What, the models' googly-eyed death stares were distracting, alright?] in the Marc Jacobs store is cancelled, due to the theft of the spring/summer 2012 collections during its transfer from Paris.

UPDATE: The Wall Street Journal‘s blog Speakeasy reports that they have an “unnamed source” saying that the rumor is untrue and the collection is in New York. Hmmm… methinks we have a problem here.
