Sephora New Hot Now Report

If you’re anything like me you’ve got a drawer full of cosmetics that lured you in with their P.R. promises and shiny new packaging – only to get home and find that they weren’t all their cracked up to be.  Running, smearing, caking, flaking; even when you are able to try a product in the store (thank you, Sephora!) it’s hard to tell how something is going to hold up after a few hours of wear.

So, in homage to all of us who find ourselves powerless against a gorgeous lipstick container or new under-eye cream, Sephora.com has launched their Hot Now Report – a monthly report on the top, hand-picked, tried and tested beauty products and trends chosen by your fellow beauty junkies at Sephora.

A few on Sephora’s list for March 2011:

Buxom Smoky Eye Pencils

Buxom Smokey Eye Pencil would have been hard to resist in the store due to it’s whimsical title alone, but according to the folks at Sephora, this little pencil has some legs to stand on. A multitasking three-in-one eye pencil designed to shadow, line and smoke the eyes with a promise to stay put even in the rainiest, sleetiest of months. An additional bonus is that the Buxom Eye Pencil is loaded with vitamin E and aloe to keep the delicate eye region moisturized and extra luminous – goodbye cakey eye make-up.

Another winner, according to Sephora’s Hot Now Report (and this is one that I will definitely give a go:

Hourglass Aura Sheer Cheek Stain for Spring 2011

Hourglass Aura Sheer Cheek Stain avoids the winter cosmetic pitfall of powder blush sitting unflatteringly on a cheek already battling the dry winter air with it’s formula that hydrates the skin while staying put all day. This water-based wonder promised to give the cheek the subtle lit-from-within glow that a good blush should and goes on already smudged – so know harsh rubbing to get the desired effect.
