Last November we broke the glorious news of H&M’s new soon-to-cause-a-riot collaboration with coveted couture brand Marni. And today… yes, this very day… guess what surfaced in the blogosphere?

Marni for H&M

That’s right! The oh-so-subtle visual drops have begun with the release of the very first Marni for H&M print ad directed by the Queen of Indie auteur Sofia Coppola.

The collection is set to drop on March 8 and while this is a tasty bit of sneaky-peaks… what we’re all really waiting for is the rumored accompanying film campaign shot by Ms. Coppola set in the ever-exotic Marrakech, Morocco. The film will run in theaters, online and on TV and is reportedly tied directly to the print campaign.

Coppola had this to say about the pairing, “I enjoyed doing this film for the Marni at H&M collaboration. I think it’s great how they make fashion accessible and I wanted to show the fantasy fashion can bring.” says Sofia Coppola. So there we have it folks, fashion plus fantasy plus film. Stay tuned for more drops!
