Lucky Brand is about to throw its hat into yet another fashion ring… and this one’s for ladies with curves!
The beloved denim brand has announced a new addition to it’s label, Lucky Plus!
Lucky Plus will include a 75 piece range of blouses, knitwear, t-shirts, jeans, leggings and dresses, including the brand’s signature stretch and mid rise “Ginger” jean, in skinny, straight and boot cuts, with a whole slew of different washes and colors (even corduroy). Lucky Plus tops (blouses and knitwear) will include sizing up to 3X, while the jeans will include up to size 24, and since Lucky’s current sizing only goes up to 18 (and you have to order those online), that opens up a whole new range of fashion savvy looks for plus size ladies. Most of the collection will launch in the fall — you’ll have to wait until the holiday season to get your hands on the leggings and dresses — and will be priced from $50 to $129.
“We are particularly excited for the launch of this collection as we recognized a void in the plus-size marketplace for an accessible, premium denim,” CEO Dave DeMattei said in a statement. “Our goal is to be inclusive of all body types when creating clothing.”
And with more and more brands embracing the fact that we’re not all built the same (The Limited’s Eloquii, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren and Elie Tahari have all recently launched plus-sizing), curvier girls can stay perfectly on-trend without have to scour the racks for the right sizing.
You’ll be able to find Lucky Plus at select department stores like Macy’s and Nordstrom, as well as on its own e-commerce site.
