Chanel Reveals A Very K-Stew Campaign

Not to be overshadowed by the red carpet’s latest darlings (we’re looking at you, Shailene and Lupita,) stoic celeb Kristen Stewart is poised to play her latest hand at designer muse, this time as the face of Chanel’s Paris-Dallas collection campaign.

Shot by Karl Lagerfeld himself, the pictures—of which the first images have been released—tell a pretty and stoic story of Texas-inspired couture, and seal Stewart as a dominating front of camera presence. No wonder she keeps booking all those tasty fashion/beauty campaigns.

The collection (and the rest of the campaign) will debut in May and will include a wearable array of Southwest-inspired pieces like cowboy boots, denim and leather jackets. Here are some images to help sate your appetite for the brand until that blessed launch day.

2014 Target reveal’s Peter Pilotto collaboration

We can think of no better way to kick off the weekend then a preview of the long-awaited collaboration between Peter Pilotto and Target. After announced the pairing way back in September, the celeb-adored label left us all to speculate on what they might cook up for the superstores first 2014 reveal. Monday’s lookbook launch, featuring cocktail dresses, bikinis, bags, towels, and separates, did not disappoint.

The British brand is a long-time favorite of the actress/model set, counting fashion muses lil Kate Bosworth, Miranda Kerr, Kristen Stewart, and Emma Watson as fans of it’s bold, geometric prints and striking, bold colors and — judging from the preview (and the under $60 per piece price tag) — we think you will be too.

The Peter Pilotto for Target collection is set to hit store shelves on Feb. 9th, and will also be available internationally on Net-a-porter.com.

Chanel Taps Kristen Stewart As Latest Muse

Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2014 “Metiers d’Art” Show was rife with celeb-muses for Karl Lagerfeld to fawn over — Alexa Chung, Lily Collins, Dakota Fanning — but the brands celeb of choice was none other than moody-eyed Kristen Stewart who, as it turns out, has been tapped as the latest face of Chanel.

The actress continues to snap up the admiration of the fashion-world, having landed the current Balenciaga’s Florabotanica campaign, as well as the cover of V Magazine’s spring preview issue and a Vogue-editorial documenting her fashion-friendship with Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough of Proenza Schouler — it seems moody teen is the look du jour right now.

Stewart, wearing a pair of burnt orange leather pants and a crop top from the luxe label’s Spring 2014 collection, appeared on last night’s Dallas runway shows red carpet perfectly emulating the new line’s cowboy chic appeal.  Chanel’s new leading lady will star in the Pre-Fall collection’s campaign, set to launch in May 2014.

Burgundy Makes It’s Play On Your Makeup Palette

Fall/Winter’s annual changing of the color guards is a beautiful thing — particularly as it applies to your cosmetics case.  Red wine-inspired hues are popping up everywhere with burgundy hues leading the charge.

From the runways of Fendi and Derek Lam’s F/W 13, to celebs like Kristen Stewart, Coco Rocha, and Lorde, it seems everyone is peppering their cold-weather makeup palette with deep, dark reds.

Makeup artist Lucia Pieroni recently told InStyle that “burgundy has become a mainstay for fall,” with the most obvious and universally appealing approach being to paint your pout — but you needn’t stop there.  Burgundy is also appearing on dark, glossy manicures, high sculpted cheekbones, and even on it’s own take on the smokey eye.

It appears that, burgundy, this winter season, is boss.

Is Balenciaga Breaking Up With K.Stew Too?

It looks like Kristen Stewart’s “momentary indiscretion” may have cost her more than the affections of Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson.  The rumor mill has been buzzing lately that couture brand Balenciaga is set on distancing itself from the beleaguered starlet, who had previously been the face of the label’s Florabotanica fragrance campaign.  And while this rumor is unsubstantiated, another piece of evidence has reared its head as Stewart is mysteriously absent from a pivotal piece of marketing magic… the commercial.  The Balenciaga video features Mondrion-inspired graphics to a soundtrack of The Kills’ “Tape Song” — but no K.Stew.

The actress has been media-dodging and dropping out of promotional commitments and projects since the cheating scandal broke, and while Balenciaga has stated that the actress has not been dropped and that the video is “in-house only” — it’s fueling the fire of luxe label meets Hollywood drama.  Oh, K.Stew… what did you do?
