If that tie-dye t-shirt from college has been forever banished to your workout wardrobe, it can stay there. Tie-die is completely on-trend for Spring 2013 and snapping up the best in the retro color-wash has never been easier. Designers like Michael Kors, Vince Camuto and BCBG are doing the dirty work for you (and saving your sink, bathtub and washer/dryer from those wretched DIY dyes)—eschewing the t-shirt in favor of much more adult worthy fare. Choosing a tie-die look from this rainbow’s array of multi-silhouetted dresses, overthrows, jeans, and swimsuits are just the thing to take the trend from dorm room drab to day-time fab—a perfect look from poolside to party.
It’s that time of year again folks! When those piddly-puddly April showers give way to the bountiful May flowers and we can think of no better place to bring on the buds than on your pretty little paws. Floral manicures are trending, yes… but why spend hours at your mani-pedi place when you can pick up an assortment of beautiful bouquet nail wraps and nail art from industry heavies like Sally Hansen, Nail Rock, Inococo, and NCLA. Floral nail wraps are definitely in bloom and here are some of our favorites!read more
It’s getting a little needy in the Spring fling department over at Smashbox. The cosmetics brand has unleashed a beauty of a Spring 2013 Collection called Love Me with a whole slew of rather direct monikers like the Admire Me Eyeshadow Palette, the Love Me Legendary Lipstick, and the Idolize Me Poppy Blush. Smashbox collaborated with grafitti artist Curtis Kulig on this lastest line which includes eyeshadow, lipsticks, blush and a very urban looking paint pen eye-liner, all encased in Kulig designed packaging, of course. I guess there’s a better chance you’ll get what you want if you ask — and you’re going to want these brilliant new hues, so pop on over to your nearest Sephora. The Smashbox Spring 2013 Love Me Collection is on shelves now!read more

Floral fashion fans have a little under a week’s wait to get their hands on the 24-piece couture capsule collection by designer Oscar de la Renta for luxury e-tailer The Outnet — but that doesn’t mean you can’t peep the goods now. Choosing fabrics and patterns from his own couture’s past seasons, de la Renta styled a perfectly springy collection of floral dresses, tweed jackets, shorts and silk tops all priced between $325 and $1,295. Not exactly the markdowns we’re used to seeing at such collab-happy outlets as H&M and J.Crew, but still a far cry from the designer’s ready-to-wear runways. Tuesday, February 26, is the day when Oscar de la Renta x The Outnet lands, so mark those calendars and until then… enjoy the snaps.read more
After years of monochromatic hues and big, bold color blocking, it’s clear that complicated and chic prints are running the show for spring 2013. Earlier in the week we offered up Madewell’s swimsuit collaboration with that patroness of prints Mara Hoffman — but it seems that patterns are popping up on nearly everything. So if you thought your staple diet of denim was safe from this trend, we’re here to tell you you’re wrong.
Brit designer Mary Katrantzou is pairing her signature prints for spring in a collaboration with luxe denim darling Current/Elliot. Mary Katrantzou x Current/Elliott Spring 2013 is a gorgeous blue and lilac hued collection of dresses, skirts, shorts, tops, jackets and jeans (boyfriend and skinny styles) all done up in a dizzying array of prints. Rockstar husband, killer career, and her pick of the handbag litter? If only we could live the life of one Miss Gwyneth Paltrow!
Alice + Olivia’s brand new handbag line hasn’t even launched yet, but once again lifestyle guru Gwynie was spotted with one slung on her arm. (Let’s not forget that last September she got her hands on Hedi Slimane’s debut handbag for Saint Laurent Paris before anyone else, too.) So it’s alright for us to feel a little green, right?
The chic and modern label plans on introducing it’s line of handbags, clutches and totes to the rest of us in a few weeks — but only through the brands website and brick-n-mortar stores. So if you’re pining for what could possibly be the next big “it” bag — and your not Gwyneth Paltrow — prepare to shell out between $295 – $645 and then you can have one of your very own. Here are a few examples of what little Miss Goop probably already has in her closet.
