Baby, it’s cold outside. No… not here in Southern Cali, but we’re feeling you east coast. So in honor of bundling up, we’re highlighting a major outerwear trend that arguably looks great on everyone. A camel coat.
This classic is a major staple for F/W 14-15 and here’s why. We can’t think of a single cold-weather cover-up that looks polished, timeless with just the right amount of rich gal glamour, a camel coat looks great against every skin tone and body type. It’s clearly the perfect way to stay warm and chic all at the same time. Here are some of our favorite celeb camel coat looks to further our cause and provide style inspiration.

Spring ’13′s romance with flirty florals has taken a turn to the dark side for fall, with equally feminine prints being set against contrasting grim backgrounds in a palette that includes navy, brown, and black. Runway’s as haute as Givenchy, Saint Laurent, and Valentino all paid homage to the gothic floral look in their F/W 13 shows, while Giambattista Valli, Erdem, Vivienne Westwood and even fast-fashion’s Topshop offered up the ready-to-wear variations on the theme.
Where the runways go… the red-carpets will follow Rose Byrne, Zoe Saldana, and Emma Roberts all making recent appearances in the Wuthering Heights-ish trend.
So grab those tissues and get-set for a moody, broody fall of dark romantic florals.read more
It may be time to rethink that cringe-inducing aversion to the crop top because when those “in the know”surmised that the belly-baring look would be a big one for 2013, they were most definitely onto something. Marc Jacobs, Balenciaga, Costume National and a whole slew of other designers have taken a shine to the look, offering up their own takes on the trend—but if you’re looking for further proof of the crop tops wearability, here’s what finally sealed the deal for us:
Zoe Saldana’s weekend appearance at the Berlin red carpet premiere of the film “Star Trek Into Darkness,” where the oft-admired actress sealed the trend-setting deal pairing a Calvin Klein crop top and skirt combo with a pair of sexy Jimmy Choo sandals. It seems the once ultra-casual trend has reached a new level of legitimacy and it’s a far cry from our 90′s television high school heroes (we’re talking about you Kelly Bundy and Donna Martin.) Now before you get all squeamish at the thought of exposing your midsection, here are a few tips on rocking the crop top trend regardless of how toned your tummy is!
1. Remember, how much you expose is up to you. If you’re proud of all that time you put in at the gym, then go on and try a crop top that hits above your belly button. If you’re less than confident about your midsection, a simple sliver peeking out just below your midriff is equally fashionable.
2. Wearing your crop top with a high-waisted bottom (skirt, shorts and/or pants) will ensure that your crop top looks more 2013 and less 1980′s video vixen. Add an outer layer like a fitted blazer, a pretty cardigan, or an urban cool leather jacket—to add even more up to date appeal. Look for ways to undo the undeniable flirtatiousness of a bare midsection and you’ll be on the right track.
3. Own it. This look is a head-turner, so wall-flowers need not apply. Confidence is key—so get out there and rock that crop top!
The Oscar red carpet is arguably THE BIGGEST celebrity fashion gawping event of the year and the attendees of the 2013 Academy Awards certainly put their best foot forward (except maybe Sally Field whose foot actually featured a pair of sneakers.) Sequins and a nude, white and black palette reigned surpreme with elegant appearances by Best Actress winner Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Lining’s Playbook) and Best Supporting Actress winner Anne Hathaway (Les Mis), not to mention a critical standout in the Best Dressed category Charlize Theron — but there were a few standouts donning fresh, bold hues like Jennifer Aniston and Kerry Washington. A host of actresses tricked themselves out in metallic shades like Nicole Kidman, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Naomi Watts too. Here’s a look at some of our favorites from last nights ceremony, and a rousing congratulations to all the winners!read more
