Target Announces Spring 2013 Collaboration With Prabal Gurung
If there is one thing Target and it’s never-ending designer collaborations isn’t afraid of, it’s over-exposure. On the heels of the released lookbook featuring the super-stores pairing with 24 CFDA designers, comes word that it will next produce a capsule collection with Prabal Gurung. We imagine Gurung’s inclusion in the CFDA collection — which produced a black wool cape and a bow-adorned clutch purse — had something to do with this latest news… and we’re awfully glad for it.
The Target + Prabal Gurung limited-edition collection will launch on Feb. 10 of next year and will include women’s ready-to-wear clothing and accessories, ranging in price from $13 to $200. Think jackets, dresses, handbags, shoes and jewelry, and you’ll be on the right track.
Gurung, naturally, took the opportunity to say a few words about the pairing, “This collection was inspired by love, and if Target’s guests can feel even a little bit of the love that I felt while designing this collection, then I will consider it a job well done. The collection is inspired by a girl’s journey through the different stages of love and the clothes she wears during each milestone — from the first date to meeting the parents to the engagement.” Awww… and it’ll all be here by Valentine’s Day. How apropos.
