It’s rare when you can find a gem of a designer that has not been mined into a global mass brand – but it seems Asia’s been holding out on us.  Wildly popular in Asia, contemporary men and women’s label Raoul is set to make it’s stateside debut via famed boutique Henri Bendel and online empressario ShopBop.com.

Launched in 2002 by husband and wife team Odile and Douglas Benjamin with an original intent to produce men’s shirts and accessories.  Success in the Asian market, with their clean-lined, easy-to-wear aesthetic has seen the brand expand encompassing ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, and accessories.  The Benjamins have also collaborated on knitwear collection with Tom Scott for the past two seasons.

A wildly popular 2010 Fall European debut signaled this Spring’s eminent U.S. arrival of the the brand – which will feature (what else) a beautiful, classic line with very obvious nods to the oh-so-hot 70′s.
