Versace Sneak Peek for H&M
Oh joy of joys! More pix have dropped of the up-n-coming Versace for H&M diffusion line – and for this we heave a sigh of “Thank you, Donatella!” Afterall, Ms. Versace hasn’t played the traditional launch-time coy of other collaborative brands, she wants us to know exactly what to expect come Nov. 17th – when the coveted items drop into H&M stores. She even took to the stage at Milan Men’s Fashion Week wearing a Versace for H&M dress.
Versace is the next in a long-line of couture designers doing a line for the affordable H&M, despite her 2008 stance that, while she respected other designer who do [the diffusion lines], she didn’t want to do one herself “because I work very hard to put the Versace line in the luxury section. I think to put the Versace line in H&M would confuse the brand.”
The collection launching in November will include men’s, women’s and homewear, with a pre-spring collection to follow in January. Here’s a clip from the official press release:
The womenswear collection will be dominated by dresses that express the spirit of the season, featuring studded leather, silk and colorful prints, and accessories including high heels and costume jewelry. The men’s collection will focus on sharp tailoring, including the perfect tuxedo, as well as belts and jewelry for men. For the first time in a designer collaboration at H&M, the collection will include homeware pieces including pillows and bedspread.
Here’s one last peek that published in Russian Vogue!
