What’s Trending? Lovely Lace.
From Vuitton, to Tahari, to Marc Jacobs, you’d have had to be blind during the bevy of fashion week collection unveilings to not recognize the vast emphasis on one particularly girlish detail: lace.
Seen on blouses and skirts, as well as adorning hair and accessories, it’s clear that this dramatic trend is at the top of the HotList for Fall 2011.
While lace was used to great aplomb to add an element of feminine come-hither as well as a nodding homage to vintage fashion, designers were also using it in it’s various forms to emphasize a modern appeal – particularly with Balenciaga’s brightly colored dresses with mesh lace overlay.
And let’s not forget about the intricate, nature-inspired lace used by Behnaz Sarafpour creating a gorgeous and sophisticated silhouette.
Lace is one of the sexiest of fall trends to come out of the big three Fall Fashion Weeks, and stay tuned the rest of this week while we’ll break down a few other notables noticed!
